Hi Folks-
Here we are in the dead of winter, finally taking a breather and thinking-Spring!
We are not yet at our 1 year anniversary, which will be in April, but it seems like we already have a lifetime of memories here at The Monte Vista.
Every guest and visitor has seen and been a part of the ongoing renovations and celebrated each and every milestone and accomplishment with us. A favorite pastime in Fitz’s Tap Room was sipping a martini and watching Barney and the crew working their way across the courtyard brick by brick- way more fun and comfortable than peering through a hole in the fence around a construction site in Manhattan! When the courtyard was completed in October, everyone gave a cheer and moved outside to turn their attentions to the activities on the second floor. Such is the story of rebuilding and rebirth, and it goes on.
Meanwhile, memories are also being built and reborn. Barney and I have learned, time and time again that it’s all about the people. We have made many new friends and been privileged to meet the many others who have come back to the Monte Vista, bringing decades of stories and memories with them. Listening to the music, sitting in front of the fire, enjoying morning coffee- we have been sharing this with you and it truly was our vision. Thank You. So- let’s SPRING into the future
Meet Elizabeth Fletcher our new Catering Manager. Elizabeth launched “I Do for Brides,” a regional bridal magazine that circulated in five states and later went on to represent Federated and Belk’s department stores as spokesperson for area bridal events. After the sale of “I Do for Brides” in 2007, Elizabeth turned to what she was most passionate about… event planning. We are pleased to have her on board and if you are planning any type of event please call her as she is a wealth of knowledge.
