Black Mountain is a festive community so whatever your favorite season, you’ll find a festival to help you celebrate. Spring brings the “Taste of Black Mountain” and the Lake Eden Arts Festival, also known as the LEAF festival. In the summer there is Art in Bloom, the July 4th Parade and in August the Sourwood Festival, always a hit. Fall offers a second LEAF festival and "Fall by the Tracks," sponsored by the Old Depot Station. And of course, a "Pumpkin Festival." In the winter there’s the invigorating Black Mountain Marathon and Mt. Mitchell Challenge. This year the Monte Vista became the home for the Marathon and Challange.

These are only a few if the many festive events in Black Mountain. For the full schedule, see the festival calendar on the chamber’s website ...and be sure to book your rooms early around the dates of the major festivals.
